In the midst of my home decorating project on Right as Rayne, the International School of Colour and Design decided to bring their workshops here to Perth in May. I don’t pretend to be an interior stylist but I know what a like and I know how to put a few things together.
Lately I have been doing my best to let myself go and get really creative but it seems that my personal perceived lack of knowledge takes away my confidence to do so. There’s only so many ‘inspo’ pics you can see before everything starts to look copied or ‘same same’.
It’s time for me to get some help and I have found the perfect way to do so.
Leading Australian Design School iscd is bringing their popular range of colour and design workshops and short courses to Perth in May.
The Colour 101 workshop is designed to unlock your creativity and introduce you to the wonderful world of colour and design. This workshop teaches you to physically mix and recreate colours, apply the elements and principles of design and discover your own personal decorating style.
The Pop-UP campus is being held at the historic 100 year old Flour Factory, located in the heart of Perth CBD in May.
For a more in-depth colour experience, there is an iSTYLE colour workshop which will give you the tools you need to confidently develop colour schemes for your home. I have booked into this course which is on Tuesday the 12th of May and I can’t wait!
As well as short courses there will be an information session on potential career options so if you have ever played with the idea of entering the creative world of styling, this may just be your chance.
The Pop-UP campus gives people like me a fantastic opportunity to learn more about a world I love but am yet to really explore. Not just your average brush-over 1 hour workshop, these workshops are designed to get you working through your own personal decorating journal. It will have you understanding colour psychology, creating mood and tone in a room as well as putting together colour schemes that reflect your space and your personality. I’m really looking forward to this.
iscd and Right as Rayne are giving two lucky people the chance to win a ticket to the Colour 101 workshop on Monday May 11th. To win, in the comments below let us know why you are keen to learn more about colouring your life. Winner will be announced Monday May 4th.
