The night started off a little crazy. It was the first time I had left Van and although I new he would be absolutely fine that little bit of anxiety always creeps in. After trying to force feed him before I left, I headed off to get reacquainted with the City of Perth.
I had heard some pretty serious stories about this new jazz lounge, The Laneway Lounge, and from the moment I entered I knew it would was something pretty special.
It was like I hadn’t been out since the year 2000. My eyes were popping out of my head. And although yes, I actually haven’t been ‘out’ for a few years, when I asked around I wasn’t the only one who was super impressed with what we were experiencing.
The Laneway Lounge is yes, as you guessed it, down a little laneway. This new jazz lounge is funky on so many levels. They had popcorn stations and champagne fairy floss. deconstructed mojito’s and speak easy iced teas. The cocktails were Ah-mazing!!
The brain child of Grant Collins and Dany Russo, it was modern sophistication meets old world glamour.
The décor was stunning with all individually designed pieces. Choose to sit in one of their private booths, have a drink at the bar or be entertained in the Live Dining Room where we were surprised by special guest, the gorgeous Samantha Jade.
I am so excited to be able to step out in Perth and feel like you are having an experience somewhere else in the world.
The Laneway Lounge was exquisite. I will definitely be heading back pronto for another 5 senses experience.
