If there’s one thing that this girl can absolutely appreciate, it’s a fantastic experience at a restaurant. Having been part of the restaurant industry for many years and having been lucky enough to spend time in Melbourne and Sydney solely for the purpose of copious amount of eating, I can appreciate a good experience.
A good restaurant experience for me comes down to many things. Being greeted at the entrance if even just by a smile. Having an attentive waitress/waiter who knows the menu. There must be a good selection of wine covering a range of price points and also a manager who know about the wines on offer, but above all good, fresh quality produce executed in into the right dish is imperative.
I can put my hand on my heart and say that this is the experience I had on Monday whiles lunching at Cott & Co at Western Australia’s iconic bar on the beach, Cottesloe Beach Hotel.
Our waitress knew everything about the food and in turn just ordered for us. The manager matched the perfect wine to our meal and every dish was a taste sensation right down to the incredible white chocolate mouse at the end. I’m still dreaming about that dessert….
Don’t just sit here salivating over our meal, go and try it out for yourself! Did I mention the view over Cottesloe beach is incredible?! Oh, and make sure you order the chilli fresh crab and polenta. To die for…
