It’s the one thing that Andrew and I have words about every time we go to Bali.
I did some damage a few years ago when I begged and begged for him to take me horse riding. Let me just say it was not a good experience. I was so upset that I had to hop on this horse that looked to malnourished and sad. I felt like it was going to snap.
We cut that horse ride short and I got the old ‘I told you so’ and we haven’t done extra curricular activities in Bali since.
After hearing mixed reports about the Bali Safari and Marine Park over the years I wasn’t ready to push him to go until I knew it would be worth it. When I heard for the third time on this trip that it was a great day I decided to hit up the old man and get the family out there.
There was an animal show, live feeding of Parana’s and a safari ride which takes you closer to the animals that I had ever been before. We fed elephants and patted Orangutan’s, the kids had a ball.
The Bali Safari and Marine Park also offer rooms you can stay in with the park in your backyard. Imagine waking up in the morning with a rhino on your doorstep.
