The Happinest is bringing Maggie Dent to town for inaugural parenting seminar “Raising Happy Kids” and you can join us.
I’m excited to be supporting an evening with Maggie Dent and her highly popular seminar, “Real Kids In An Unreal World” on Monday, 6 October. Happinest Director, Tina Holtom, will give a brief introduction on her passionate focus for building resiliency in the early years.
Maggies is refreshing and honest in her approach to helping parents educate themselves and take notice of the responsibility we have in raising our children.
Her philosophy is all about ‘commonsense’ parenting. I love this. In this fast paced, busy world of instant gratification and time poor parents, it sometimes seems that commonsense can all too often fall by the wayside.
Tina Holtom, the creator of the Happinest, is an early childhood practitioner and parent educator.
Tina will talk on how we are giving our children a false sense of the world (everyone getting a participation certificate, argh) and why we need to make a change now before we end up with a generation of people being incapable of holding adult responsibility and subsequently ending up with high levels of anxiety. A subject I am extremely passionate about and have posted my intense thoughts on the topic (read more).
