Tinker Tots Box
Education, arts and crafts in a box!
Last week we had the pleasure of delving into our first Tinker Tots box.
I would consider myself a seriously well intentioned mother (like most of us) but when it comes to craft, I’m probably at the lower end of the fantastic mother spectrum. I’m definitely not one to shy away from a good old mess especially when it’s created through fun, but I will admit that the thought of finger painting or glueing at home doesn’t get me too excited.
Now that Autumn and Lux are getting a bit older it’s become more of a controlled mess which has lessened my anxiety when thinking about trying to get glue and paint out of the carpet. The fact that Van still loves to draw on whatever he can put a texter too is another story. 2 year olds… Eep!
Last week we were sent our first Tinker Tots Box. I had no idea what I was in for but upon inspection all I could think about was what a FANTASTIC idea this was! I had been sent a craft box with everything needed to complete a simple craft project at home and best of all, instructions to go with it.
We have made many trips to the craft store and two dollar shops over the years. We have stocked up on glitter, boggle eyes and coloured paper but never really sat down and made anything. We’ve just glued and pasted away until something that resembles a craft project is completed. As much as this is a fantastic way to play I will admit it was so good to have a project to work on with the kids. No mother imagination needed!
The Tinker Tots box is a monthly subscription box for kids aged between 3 and 6. Each month your child receives a small box with simple craft projects that are educational and most of all fun.
We loved completing this craft project and the kids a dying to see what comes in next months.
