I have past the 30 week mark. Yee ha!! It’s always the time in my pregnancy where I feel like I am on the home stretch. As much as I love being pregnant there is something about the imminent arrival of your bundle of joy that can’t come fast enough.
When I was pregnant with my first child Autumn, I attended Gabby Targett’s, A labour of Love, 4 week Women’s Journey Workshop and Couples Childbirth Information Course with Andrew. I can’t recommend this higher to any of you out there wanting more information to empower themselves for their birth. You can find more information about what Gabby has to offer you on her website, here.
I wanted to try and have a natural birth. I felt the more information I could gather, the better chance I had of making it my reality. There seemed to be so much fear and negativity surrounding birth, a lot of strong opinions and I was hearing stories through the birthing grape vine that just didn’t sit right with me.
Instead of listening to the chit chat around town of the horrible and crazy things that can go wrong during labour I decided to gather my own information. I would encourage you to so the same, read something positive and true, read a book that will give you good sound information. After all, knowledge is power!
Make sure you are gathering the right information from the right sources.
I have learnt such valuable things through my 3 pregnancies, some of which I want to share with you over these last couple of months. Please, stick with me, stay tuned and I hope we can enjoy this journey together.
