For the first time in many years we hung around Perth over the Christmas break. It wasn’t an easy sell to the husband as for many years prior, the moment pre-season training was over he would be dying to get out of Perth. Having just spent a sensational three weeks in Bali I put my foot down.
Perth has so much to offer, especially for the kids. As any parent would know, travelling with three small kids is very rarely a walk in the park. You don’t need to spend hours of driving or flying to get somewhere else, there are so many things to do and see right here.
We ventured out for a morning at Beatty Park Leisure Centre in North Perth. I had spent many years as a kid trawling up and down the lanes doing lap after lap perfecting my freestyle and now I was back with my own kids.
They have a fantastic water park to suit all ages. There’s big slides for the bigger kids, a large wading pool for the toddlers and a shallow pool to take the babies for a dip.
Bribery with a smarty ice-cream was the only way I was getting Autumn and Lux out after a 2 hour long ordeal. Everyone was having way too much fun.
