What’s on in the city this Winter school holidays….
On Sunday the fam and I headed into Perth City to get a sneak peek of this months’ Winter Festival. I love being able to take the kids to one destination and have plenty of things to do. You could literally spend a whole day in the city and be entertained the entire time.
First stop was the Giant Ball Pit at the Winter Fest Dome. 50,000 white ‘snow’ balls to play and get lost in. It’s free, it’s fun and if you’re lucky, the kids will be entertaining for at least as long as it takes to sip on your morning latte. Maybe even longer actually, I struggled to get them out of there.
The Giant Ball Pit is open from 9am till 2pm Monday to Saturday and 11am till 3pm on Sundays. There’s even an Adult-only session from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 July. Sign me up!! Children’s workshops and performances start in the Dome for July 14th. While you’re there, why not check out the Gascoyne Farmers Markets at Yagan Square, fresh fruit and vegetables, yummy food samples too. For more information on the Giant Ball Pit head here.
Next stop was Dr Hubbles Bubbles at the free Winter Fest Theatre in Forrest Place.
The kids will love the performances and it will be sure to get a chuckle out of the big kids as well. Tickets are free but still need to be booked through Oztix in advance for admittance. To book your tickets and check out all the performances on offer the Winter Fest Theatre head here.
