The race meet is full of glamour and style but the relaxed country feel makes the day just that little bit more casual than a big city race meet.
This year I attended as a guest of Cable Beach Club in the Allure South Sea Pearls marquee. The day was filled with delicious food, great friends and I would like to say a cheeky bet or two but this year I opted to keep my money in my purse.
One of my favourite up and coming stylist’s Greer De Burgh styled my Broome Cup outfit this year and ladies you will be happy to know that both the dress and the hat are available to hire at Share My Closet. Greer has recently become a contributing fashion editor on one of my favourite blogs Rebecca Judd Loves so make sure you keep on eye out for this girl.
Black was the order of day and this sensational figure hugging midi length Roland Mouret was perfect for the cup occasion. We wanted to go simple yet sleek so accessories with black and splashes of gold hardware were all that was need to finish off the outfit.
It was DIY hair and makeup so my beachy waves were the order of the day (my how-to video here). I had to find something suitable to go under my Lack of Colours hat and with my lack of DIY under hat hair knowledge, this seemed to be my easy way out.
