As anyone with young kids would know, having an engagement party start at 3pm takes quite a bit of forward planning, especially if the party your going to is most likely to take 3pm to a 12pm finish (and it did).
Andrew had a VERY important Saturday morning golf game to attend which took him out of the house from 7.15am.
I had an appointment in Booragoon at 8.45am, one at the park in Trig at 10am and then I had to get the kids home and packed as a sleep over at Nan and Pop’s in Bassendean had been organised at some point during the huge amount of time my kids had to sit in the car.
Kids drop off was completed (yay) and now it was time to think about me, at 2pm, with nothing to wear…
I made my usual mad crazy dash to see Bec and Jules at Peachy in Shenton Park. These girls are the bomb. I never fail to walk out of there without at least one full outfit and many that I will be going back for.
Being an afternoon engagement party I wanted to be chic, effortless but still casual. Nothing too over done.
Thanks for the quick ass styling ladies. And Bec, thank you for saying I can borrow your things anytime. I hope you meant it as I have a great outfit that your Isabel Marant’s would finish off just perfectly. Are you a 41?
