Model shoot project and me.
I am excited to have partnered with Elizabeth to help launch her new business Model Shoot Project.
Sitting down with Elizabeth I could really feel her passion for her new venture. She had a vision. She wanted to give women an experience. She wanted to take women out of their everyday job and give them the opportunity to be part of a full commercial photo shoot whilst pampering them and making them feel beautiful. So the Model Shoot Project began.
Elizabeth pulled together a team of fashion industry experts to give women this experience. She gives them the opportunity to learn how to be confident and natural in front of a camera.
With Social media being a big part of my business I can understand the necessity in having to put your best foot forward. It’s not about trying to be something you’re not, it’s about giving yourself confidence and helping you to be comfortable in your own skin.
In the lead up to my photo shoot I had a meeting with Elizabeth and the stylist Emily Bathgate. We talked about my style, what I feel comfortable in, what colours I like to wear and what I would like to get out of the photo shoot.
When I arrived on the day of the shoot the whole production line was there.
Christine Kopti took no time at all to snap a before shot. It was so much fun to work with a fantastic photographer such as Christine. She made me feel beautiful and was able to direct me on shapes and poses that worked for me and really give me some great pointers on how to relax in front of the camera.
The stylist Emily Bathgate pulled some gorgeous outfits, shoes and accessories. We really had fun going through the options for the day.
Tamzin Mulder was the makeup artist and as I sipped champagne we chatted about the different makeup looks that would compliment my features and the outfits.
The morning went too fast, we were having way too much fun. Walking out of the studio all I could think about was how the photos were going to turn out. Eeeek!
When Elizabeth called to say they were ready I was excited but a little nervous and when I sat down to take a peek I couldn’t believe it was actually me! I couldn’t believe I had done that!
In this day and age the ‘selfie’ is far more than just a snap taken on your mobile phone. It’s your Linkedin profile, it’s your business card, it’s the advertisement on your website, it’s your dating profile, it’s the cover of your Facebook page. There is no escaping the dreaded selfie.
If you are wanting some professional photos and need little direction, wanting to do something special that is fun and a little glamorous or needing a change in your look then this is certainly something to consider.
It has been a privilege to be part of an up coming business such as Model Shoot Project. I had heaps of fun and met some gorgeous women along the way. There isn’t much that beats that.
