Day 4 – My first MC gig and Van reminds me who’s the boss in this relationship.
I woke up today feeling my nerves starting to creep into my belly. I don’t know which was more nerve wracking, leaving Van all day for the first time or my first MC gig. Today I was MC’ing the live fashion shoot at Wesley Quarter. Andrew took me out for some poached eggs and avocado on toast, the perfect way to get the day started.
My call time for hair and makeup was 10.30am. Andrew drove me into the city so I was able to give Van a feed before I left for the day. Let me just say here that as Murphy’s law will have it, after taking a bottle the day before, he decided to be a bottle snob and waited for me to get home at 5pm. What a little monkey!

I had so much fun at the Wesley Quarter Live Fashion Shoot. Scherri-Lee Biggs was one of those stunning, happy, sweet, successful girls.
After we finished at Wesley Quarter I managed to leg it over to Fashion Central to catch the SKYE & Staghorn show. With Samantha Harris on the runway and some of the most gorgeous bathers I have seen, I was very impressed!

After feeding Van as much as I could, it was time to start getting ready for the Designer Capsule 2 (DC2) show at The Australian Museum. Tonight I was live tweeting from the show for WA Today as well as reporting on the show for them – loved being a guest writer for them (thank you!)
Unfortunately I had to do what every busy mother knows what not to do and that is, stop. That brief moment when I thought it would be ok to sit on the couch saw me doze off and when I woke at 8.25pm I had ten minutes to get ready and get out the door to DC2.Wearing Manning Cartell top, Nicholas pants and House of Emmanuale from Sana Boutique
