Day 5 – Fashion Central with Uber & Klein and Peachy and the ever impressive Camilla and Marc
Today I was MC’ing at Fashion Central in Forrest Chase. After the fun I had yesterday at Wesley Quarter I was really looking forward to the day. My only reservation was with Van’s antics yesterday by refusing the bottle, I was nervous to see how today would pan out. My call time was 8.30am and my last show was at 4.30pm.
Hair and makeup was done pretty quickly which allowed me enough time to rehearse for my first show. I was lucky enough to be sharing the MC role on a couple of my shows with the gorgeous Chrissie Maus from Nova. She was a pro in this role and me being a complete novas she showed me a tip or three. Thank you Chrissie!
Andrew and Van arrived 15 minutes before my first show so I could appease Van’s hunger. First up was Uber & Klein, this gorgeous kids specialty store in the Claremont Quarter. Just as I was in the middle of my first introduction for the day, in walks Autumn and Lux. Autumn was in her Snow White nightie and Lux had his West Coast Eagles jumper on with a bike helmet. Very fitting for a funky kids fashion parade! Needless to say we have heading into Uber & Klein since….
Next up was Peachy. Peachy is a women’s clothing store on Nicholson Rd in Shenton Park. Their show was fantastic! It stocks all of my favourite labels and I can’t ever go to see the girls without finding something I love. The Peachy girls, Bec and Jules, draw a lot of their inspiration from street style, blogs, social media and their main focus is to mix designer labels with basic street style. Add that one amazing piece to your everyday outfit for that effortless chic, my kind of style. You can follow the girls on Instagram @stylemepeachy
By the end of the Peachy show I noticed mum walk in to the Fashion Central tent with Van. Feeding time again!
One of the highlights of my day was getting to introduce Samantha Jade to a packed out audience. I can put my hand on my heart and say that Samantha Jade has one of the most amazing voices live I had ever heard. She blew me away.
That completed my stint as an MC at the Perth Fashion Festival. I was off home to grab the husband, have a quick change and get back to the city for Camilla and Marc.
Johnny Ramili clutch and Dallas and Carlos cuff from Sana Boutique

The Camilla and Marc show was without a doubt one of my favourite shows. There was a sit down dinner at The Australian Museum followed by a live Auction for the McGrath Foundation. Andrew Embley and Eamon Sullivan donated their time to head to someone’s house and cook for their guests. They sold two on the night and raised $15,000. Well done boys!!! I think I overheard some topless cooking negotiating going on but I can’t be sure.
I could have bought every single piece in the Camilla and Marc show. The brother and sister due continued with a strong black and white theme with bold tangerines, golds and bright pinks.
