Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds!! I was definitely in the right place.
On Wednesday night Andrew and I attended the 30th birthday celebrations of Solid Gold Diamonds. Just so you know, they are no longer “above Dymocks in the Hay Street Mall” they are directly opposite.
Rumour has it that we were surrounded by about $70 million worth of diamonds and from the looks of the security on the night I would say those rumours were very close to true.
For the first time in one showing they were showcasing 64 pink and red diamonds. An amazing 12 carat yellow diamond with matching 6 carat studs were my dream purchase.
But the crème dela crème of the collection was a 1.56 carat extremely rare red diamond named “The Phoenix” said to be worth $2.5 million.
With the Laurent Perrier flowing and the absolutely stunning special guest Lindy Klim mixing up the tunes, we were reminded why Solid Gold has been such an iconic WA brand for the past 30 years.
