Claire: Hi Rayne, I would love to know what you use on your hair and how often you wash it. We seem to have similar hair and I’m always interested in trying new hair products.
Thanks Claire. I have a few hair posts coming up so I will leave this one short and sweet.
My hair is quite fine but I have a lot of it.
It’s a little embarrassing but I only wash my hair once or twice a week max. I’m really lucky in that my hair doesn’t get very oily. I’m usually stretching it by day 4 but it’s nothing a little bit of dry shampoo can’t conquer.
I always mess around and love to try new hair products but at the moment I am using Shu Umera. I wrote about my first Shu Umera experience here and have since love their products.
I am completely obsessed with the Shu Umera Art of Hair Essence Absolue. I have been using this after I wash my hair as a bit of a treatment and also after a blow dry to smooth out the frizzy bits but last night I used it as a pre-shampoo treatment, aweomse! It contains camelia oil which helps protect your hair against dryness and frizz, perfect for the summer heat.
I have been using the Shu Umera Cleansing Oil Shampoo. It’s quite unique to anything I have ever used. It goes on as an oil and lathers like a shampoo. Being a cleanser it binds with the oil and products in your hair and really gives it a good wash, just as a cleanser would on your face. It gives my hair body and it feels light and clean, I absolutely love this product. If you wash your hair every 2 to 3 days I would alternate with another shampoo. It’s not suppose to be used as a regular everyday shampoo, think of it as a treatment cleanse for your hair.
Shu Umera have just released the Cleansing Oil Conditioner, I jumped onto it straight away. I LOVE it!! Unlike the shampoo this conditioner is designer to be used everyday if you like. Unlike other conditioners I have used, the Shu Umera Cleansing Oil Conditioner is super light weight and leaves my hair luminous and soft. Described as having an ‘airy touch’ I would have to agree.
The other Shu Umera product I have here is also a cleansing oil shampoo but this one is specifically for oily hair. It has anti-oil properties designed for people with naturally oily hair. This isn’t usually me but I will give it a go when I leave it way too long between washes.
I get all of my Shu Umera products from Me Style Salon in Claremont and they are available at Maurice Meade Salon’s around Perth.
